"The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI," the statement said. Before taking over as CEO, Altman, 38, was president of startup accelerator Y Combinator and gained prominence in Silicon Valley as an early-stage investor. House Republicans on Wednesday issued subpoenas to Hunter and James Biden — President Joe Biden's son and brother, respectively — as well as a Biden family associate, Rob Walker, in an escalation of Republicans' impeachment inquiry into the president. A representative and attorney for Hunter Biden and James Biden did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The subpoenas and interview requests come a day after the special counsel overseeing the probe into Hunter Biden testified before the House Judiciary Committee behind closed doors. The panel further alleges that the Biden family, their business associates and their companies received more than $24 million from foreign nations over approximately five years. Schwinden died Saturday in Phoenix at his daughter's home, son Dore Schwinden said Monday. Schwinden was born Aug. 31, 1925, on his family's farm in Wolf Point on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. In the early 1950s the couple returned to the Wolf Point area to help on their family farms after Schwinden's father fell ill. He stayed in Helena but kept returning to the family farm in Wolf Point to help during harvest time until 1998, his son said. Jean Schwinden died in 2007.
